Dr. Joe Johnson, LPC-IT

Psychotherapist

Dr. Joe Johnson, LPC-IT, is a culturally responsive therapist who helps individuals navigate life’s
defining moments with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose. While his work includes a strong
commitment to supporting Black and Brown men, Dr. Johnson also works with women who are
navigating relationship concerns, personal transitions, emotional stress, and important decisions.
Dr. Johnson’s work is grounded in three core areas: identity, purpose, and strategic disruption. He
helps clients explore who they are beyond the roles, expectations, and experiences that may have
shaped them; reconnect with the purpose and values that guide their lives; and strategically disrupt
patterns that no longer serve their well-being, relationships, or future.
With experience supporting clients through major life transitions, divorce, relationship challenges,
career changes, parenthood, grief, identity concerns, and personal crossroads, Dr. Johnson helps
clients better understand the patterns, beliefs, and emotional burdens shaping their lives. Therapy is
not about telling someone who they should become. It is about helping them reconnect with their
values, strengths, voice, and vision for what comes next.
Using a practical, compassionate, and culturally responsive approach, Dr. Johnson supports clients
in improving communication, managing stress, processing difficult experiences, building healthier
boundaries, and making decisions with greater intention. The work blends clinical insight with real-
life understanding, meeting clients where they are while helping them create meaningful and lasting
change.
Whether you are facing divorce, questioning a relationship, adjusting to a major life transition, or
simply tired of carrying everything alone, Dr. Johnson provides a space for healing, clarity, and
forward movement without losing yourself in the process.
